Many new and design hotels open in 2009-10 , like on the mid 70's with Royal Cliff, Montien, Holiday Inn (Today Hard Rock), Amari, Tropicana, Asia and on the end of the 80's with Peace resort, Thai Garden resort (Open as Sport Garden), Welcome Plaza, Royal Palace, A-one Royal Cruise, Lek, Cesar Palace, Fruit Resort.

Not a full list but most new hotels, also mainy guesthouse, serviced appartment and condo have also open on the last 2 years.

Actually Pattaya offer around 1000 places to sleep if you count hotels, guesthouse, condo and serviced appartment
